    you need to brush up on your guitar history if you think that’s a fail.

    The SG started life as the Les Paul. The sales of Les Pauls actually fell in the late 50′s, leading Gibson to redesign the guitar. Les Paul himself did not like this new design, and asked for his name to be removed from it, so it became known as the SG.

    So the Les Paul name on the Truss Rod cover is not a fail, as this is based off the earliest SGs that were technically Les Pauls.

    there is also something IN BETWEEN totally clean and totally distorted: it’s called slightly overdriven! try it, you might like it.
